September 2015 ON OUR FARM

We got lots of new seed into stock and have been planting madly ourselves. The California drought has had lots of damaging effects on our production, really from the climate change and too warm winter weather that allows more diseases and insect buildups. Yet at the same time, we have been enjoying so many vegetables and herbs as usual. We have added and are trying lots of new to us Radish varieties. Gold colored radishes are one of my favorite colors and the Helios we carry does do well in a variety of circumstances. All of the Radishes arew however tasty treats for the Bagrada Bug from Africa that hit California in 2010 and apparently is now as far East as Texas and north to Utah. We will update our customers when we have perfected our Organic controls for the Bagrada Bug.... We are now eating Scarlet Purple Top and Tokyo Turnips. They are delicious and the tops are good when stir fried or sauteed. The container we expected in February got here in July. We will be doing another one soon. Let Grant know if there is a variety you think we should carry! forward to a smooth and exciting future!

Domestic (USA) orders only, standard shipping option only (a savings of $6.75). Minimum order of $75 including any sales, specials, or coupons. Thank You for Your Interest and Your Business!

As a small family-owned seed company we believe in those values gardening and cooking bring to family and life itself. We are striving to offer you the best we can: with our heirloom seed varieties, our imported gourmet seed and the culinary awakening they bring, and the peace of mind earned with our certified organic selections. Inside you will find more selection than ever before as well as the same high quality you've always come to expect from us.
We have stopped offering many of the quality gardening tools, shears, gloves, and gardening supplies from the US, Europe, and Asia for the time being. When Grant acquired the business, he felt that was too far from the farm basis for the business at least for the time being. Call us for recommendations to contact suppliers of them.
Check out a fine selection of gourmet seed, as well as some wonderful supplies. As we continue to grow, we are committed to provide the same personalized attention to quality you get from a small family owned seed company. We wish you a very good growing & gardening season ahead!
Thank you for your business!
